A book so fun it sold itself
Every kid in my country grew up on this book, You didn’t graduate high school without reading this book and it became a national treasure.
The funny thing about this book is that it isn’t anything educational it was just so entertaining that teachers had fun reading it out loud to students and having the students go study the book.
We didn’t read it at a go even if they were not stopping anyone from doing that rather we read a chapter a week.
Even while reading a chapter a week we spent the rest of the week doing homework, having group discussions, and acting on it. Remember like I said this book wasn’t even educational.
It was fiction, a story about some animal kingdom. It had no basics into the everyday reality of life but came with so many moral lessons and of all things was entertaining that immediately you got into senior high school and you were handed this book by the school you rushed home and read everything at once.
Writers who have learned to uncover the secret of entertainment in their writing and know how to apply them enjoy this effect. They end up creating something more than just a book, they create culture while sharing their passion.
What differentiates writers is their ability to remain in the minds of people. Some writers don’t know how to create that effect. They are standing for nothing and remaining on the part that brings no emotional reaction from their readers.
They are not deepening their legs into the waters of human psychology and leaving their readers demanding more. Yes, they give out the information but they give it out in a way that isn’t daring and compelling enough to extract a feeling.
People read but most of all people read with a feeling and leaving people without feeling can be dangerous for any writer, creator, or artist.
This is the reason every writer must see themselves first as entertainers. It is funny but it is the truth. People say writers are boring people but the keyboard is your stage and every time you decide to put something down you should give your best performance.
