Life might not be a party but there’s always a life of the party everywhere people congregate or get together.

We don’t even have to know them personally but we can feel them, sense them, and see how they carry themselves and do their work.

They are always bringing that fun into anything they do. Even while doing the most boring task you sense how much fun they are having and it rubs off on you.

The more I study the life of the party personality the more I realize that it can be practiced anywhere and the most boring person can use that way of life to get whatever they want especially in this age of attention.

Nobody likes boring moments. Humans are naturally escapist, we run when it is no longer fun and comfortable and you can’t blame us for that. Though hard to swallow the majority of humans want to be stimulated.

The fact that our phones and social media are a huge part of our life say much about that idea. Our phone serves our escapism desire and social media brings all the stimulants we will need in a given minute or hour.

Aside from our phones and social media, in a gathering of people, some people do bring that escapism into the party. They dish us on a silver platter the hidden habit of our ancestors that has been passed down to us- The urge to escape from our thoughts and have a little laugh or distraction.

This is the reason why they are called the life of the party and why the crowd runs to them in the first place.

Fortunately for us and anyone interested in getting the attention of the public, we can also learn to be this life of the party and offer people the escapism they seek but if we are going to do that we have to be everything but boring.

Let your imagination work here. Do you remember that one time you were at a party and the whole crowd gravitated to this one person who was in a corner doing some awkward but remarkable feat?

People gave this particular person all the attention in the room because he was entertaining. Showing them something that amuse, interest, or ignite a feeling. This person was serving dopamine and doing it so well.

Anyone can fuse this into their creative endeavor using both storytelling and entertainment to disarm people and have them pay attention while they share their art with the world.

I have seen some writers in this new age use this and it felt like fresh air. Aside from people just reading content they are being entertained to get some information from the world wide web.
