There are no failures in writing
How many of you failed English and writing classes in school and thought you never will be good at writing?
This mindset and experience is the reason many people are not putting in any effort to write.
They feel if they have already been a failure to a teacher and classroom they are familiar with then who knows what can come from them deciding to write to the public.
They fear the judgment of the public and the mistakes that might come from writing for the public.
The blissful thing about the public is that we all failed English and writing. We are sailing on the same boat and in real life nobody cares that much, people just want to be entertained.
It helps to write well but sometimes following the educational system of writing kills and drowns your creativity and how you learn to tell stories.
The best thing anyone can do in such a situation is to learn how to write again publicly and by that I mean write and share your writing publicly and let the public redirect you with its feedback.
The feedback is everything when it comes to writing. As a writer that is your teacher and the teacher that truly understands and can never take you on a path that won’t be beneficial.
There are no mistakes in writing and the more you write the better you get at doing what you do. You take that further and dare to share your work as you go then you expose yourself to a faster way of learning.
The goal of writing is to be able to express yourself and tell the stories in you. At some point, you might not be able to tell them correctly but that doesn’t mean there is no chance to make progress.
In real life, there are no scores or marks for trying and failing. Everyone is allowed to try again and again till they find their comfort zone where everything looks easy and perfect for them.
As a writer, whether beginning or not we are all on this path and nobody is perfect because it is a continuous learning process we all have to go through.
It demands a commitment to be great at writing and whether you failed at it once or not you still have to put in that commitment.
