Why should they care?

Writing to me is asking the hard questions and answering them. Every creative out there must understand why they do what they do but most of all they must understand this.

A lot of creatives still have their mind stuck in a place where they are doing whatever they are doing because they want to do it. They are in this mental place of seeing themselves as the center of their creation.

This isn’t bad but this is the reason so many writers and creators stay stuck in a place for so long. This is why so many writers and creators are seeing no growth.

It is cool to want to create from a place of self and what the self wants while ignoring the people but you need to also understand that if you are writing for an audience or creating for people then the audience comes first.

There are no two ways around this. Without the people, you will be the only one reading your posts or articles and listening to or seeing whatever creation you have. The people play a huge part in your progress except you are interested in doing this for fun.

If the people play a huge part in your progress your number one question should be why should they care?

That is the hard question no writer and creative is asking themselves. As artists, we are in this place where we think it is all about us and us alone but we need to remove our minds from that place and learn to ask ourselves why should people care about the things we put in the effort to create.

We live in a world of transaction and selfishness rules human action. Nobody will stop their time for you and read your articles or listen to your art if it is not giving them some benefit of some sort.

This is why entertainment plays a huge factor in our creation. If you are in the space of writing, if you can blend information and entertainment you can get people to read whatever you are writing and not just read but also have them interested.
